Kasa Launches Innovative Rate Code Feature for Kasa.com

Kasa is proud to announce the launch of rate codes on Kasa.com. This launch empowers revenue managers with robust pricing tools that allow them to control an endless variety of booking options. With this feature, Kasa is able to service traveler segments in new ways by efficiently surfacing attractive booking options for guests and effectively tracking their revenue impact.

“Kasa’s scientific approach to distribution and revenue management across more than 25 booking channels helps attract a unique guest base at an attractive rate and is a testament to our commitment to providing property owners with new tools that make a partnership with Kasa even more valuable,” said Kasa CEO Roman Pedan.

The rate code feature allows revenue managers to create fully customizable rate plans within seconds, down to the room type or listing level. Rate codes can be controlled by various factors, including cancellation policy, length of stay, lead time, price adjustments, effective date, unit type, listing, and location. This flexibility enables Kasa to create non-refundable, early booker, and last-minute promotions while also serving corporate travel by offering a location for corporate guests to enter a rate code on the website and receive tailored pricing arrangements.

Since the launch of the Rate Code feature, Kasa has seen a 9% increase in direct bookings, demonstrating the effectiveness of this innovative pricing tool and more than 85% of corporate stays are now booked with rate codes. These improvements contribute to driving more direct bookings, which helps attract to each Kasa-powered property a distinctive audience, resulting in higher profits for property owners. By offering various booking options catering to different traveler segments, Kasa makes the buying decision easier for guests, leading to more bookings and greater satisfaction for both guests and property owners.

The launch of rate codes is unique and disruptive to the short term rental industry. While hotels have used rate codes as an integral part of their revenue management tools, short term rental providers, and even Airbnb.com itself do not support this, giving Kasa a significant competitive advantage over other short-term rental alternatives.
